Are you having trouble trying to win races that seem impossible to beat? If so, then this guide is for you. I will explain in detail on how to properly tune up your cars in CSR racing 2, that will help you become a split-second faster than your opponent.
When you follow this CSR Racing 2 tuning guide, you can become a split second racer that gains the edge over your competition.
Tuning up your ride
Tuning your first car can be both exciting, and overwhelming at the same time. Before you can tune up any car, you need to reach stage level 3 in upgrades.
When it comes to tuning, you want to get the most performance out of your car. There are three types of ways to tune up your car, nitro, final drive, and tire pressure.
The first thing you will notice when tuning your car are the sliders on the nitro tab. You can adjust the sliders after you make upgrades to your car.
The further you adjust towards the plus, the quicker your nitro will run out. Making changes to the final drive ( transmission ) will make an impact on your shifting.
Finally, adjusting your tire pressure will make an impact on your tires, that will make a difference in how fast or slow your car will go. Making these changes will make a big difference in your car’s performance.
Tuning up your cars will make a difference between going faster and going slower. As you are making adjustments on each tuning tab, there will be an improvement in your car performance.
Make Upgrades
The key to improving your car performance is to stage up your parts. There are five stages to each upgrade, reaching stage 5 on every upgrade will lead you to maxing out your car. Each stage will also increase your car’s performance, and car rating. You can upgrade a total of seven parts, which includes the engine, turbo, nitro, tires, transmission, body and the intake.
Each part you upgrade will increase the rating of your car. Increased rating leads to an increase in performance. As you make further upgrades, you will be able to make tuning adjustments, leading to an increase in speed and power.
Staging up your upgrades will also lead to making further tuning configurations, resulting in better speed times. Maxing out each stage increases your chances of winning against a higher car rated opponent.
If you’re not familiar with the car rating, it’s the numbers above your car screen. Every upgrade you make will increase your car rating, which will lead to an increase in performance. Tuning your car will increase your car’s performance when you are making configurations on your nitro, tire pressure, and transmission ( Final Drive ). After you make configurations on your tuning, you will notice improvements of the car’s dyno timing.
Becoming a Split Second faster
Making upgrades is just the beginning of getting the most performance out of your car. Tuning will make all the difference, between an improvement or a loss in performance. To squeeze every ounce of performance out of your car, aim to adjust the nitro, tire pressure and the transmission.
Check your car’s dyno timing after making configurations, you will notice a difference in your times highlighted in green. When the majority of your times are green, it indicates improvement in your car performance. When you see red, it indicates a decrease in performance. Aim for the green on both speed and timing, including 1/2 mile, and 1/4 mile.
Both 1/2 mile and 1/4 mile times and speed should be highlighted in green, as you make adjustments to the tuning of your nitro, and tire pressure.
As your time improves, you will have a much better chance of becoming a split second faster than your opponent. Just like the good old say “every second counts”, an improvement in performance leads to an improvement in timing.
Getting the most performance out of your car
Beating bosses in CSR Racing 2 is no easy feat, as you will need to squeeze as much performance out of your car as much as possible to overtake them. The secret is to make upgrades and adjustments to your car performance to get the best chance possible to surpass them, before reaching the finish line. Making upgrades, and adjustments in tuning will help increase your odds of surpassing your opponents.
Every time you race, you want to be the fastest in speeds and the quickest in timing. The key is to aim to improve your race times on both 1/2 mile and 1/4 mile races. Time your shifts towards the green and be consistent in your nitro usage.
Improvement in time, means having improved chances of becoming a faster racer than those cocky race bosses. High stake races sets the tone, for how high the odds are on winning the race.
Every second counts, when it comes to timing your shifts, and being consistent with your nitro usage. The performance of your car makes all the difference between winning and losing.
Getting the most performance out of your cars will give you a much better chance of being a split-second faster than your opponent on the other side of the drag strip.
To Sum It Up
Every race counts, as you aim to get the most performance out of every car as much as possible. It takes making upgrades and adjustments in tuning. The goal is to get the best time racing in both 1/2 mile and 1/4 mile tracks. You need to shoot for the best times in your races possible, to improve your odds of becoming much faster than your opponent.
Each part has a maximum level of five stages. The more you upgrade the better your car will be. An increase in performance leads to increase in speeds and improvement in your times. As you stage up your parts and make tuning configurations, you will be well on your way to surpassing your opponents on the drag strip.
Hope this guide helps you win more races, especially against race bosses. It may take a bit of experimenting, but eventually, will lead you to surpassing those hard-to-beat races.
I believe that in order for us to get the best performance we must do all that we can by investing in what we need to get our car to that level. Our cars will give back to us or treat us the way we treat them so in order to get high or the best performance we must invest in our car.
I agree investing in our cars pays off in the long run
Reading your article has taken me back in time. I used to enjoy playing Gran Turismo on PlayStation 2. It now seems like such a long time ago. Without upgrades, you could barely even enter races. However, once you win a few low-level races, you can fine-tune your race car. Or even buy one with better specs. Once you have more power, you can challenge for bigger prizes on advanced races.
That’s great to know. Gran Turismo brings back amazing memories.
These are some great tips for tuning up a race car (or any car). Some I have heard of, such as adjusting the timing and tire pressure but others are new to me. I know that adding nitro would improve speed but I was unaware that adjusting the nitro would make a difference. Thanks for putting all these tips in one place. I’m going to forward it to some racing friends!
You welcome 🙂
