You will either avoid them or run into them. At every turn you make, just swipe down to drift, try to avoid hitting traffic, and avoid scrubbing the walls, as this will result in a loss in speed.

Steer while swiping down

Next up, implicates getting the full use of drifting, the second you reach a turn, swipe your fingers down, while tapping your thumbs in the direction of the corner. Which is very easy to learn and do right with your fingertips, also can get challenging when there are races involving tight turns with moderate traffic that you meet head-on.

Some races have jumps that will send your car going airborne, and AI racers in the game will just straight up pit maneuver you. It can be a bit annoying when the AI randomly turns straight into you, while you are trying to make your way to the front.

Drift into corners

Some races vary with different types of challenges, ranging from using nitro strips to jumping over ramps, each will make drifting a challenge. You can easily scrape the walls, and have a hard time getting off them, if you oversteer a corner.

Traffic can be very light to moderate depending on the race that will require heavy use of your fingertips. The second you reach a turn swipe down quickly, while tapping your thumbs in the direction of the turn on your screen.

When you do see traffic coming your way, swipe down quickly as you can, as this will cause you to drift on the inside or on the outside. Go for the lanes that have the space for you to run on and drift.

Drifting using nitro

Nitro strips can give your car a speed boost for a short amount of time, so wisely time your drifts, when using nitro strips. You will notice there is a nitrometer above your screen that fills up, whenever you hit the nitro strips, and when you are drifting.

Using nitro while drifting takes a bit of skill to fully master of maintaining complete control of your car. Some cars are easy to drift in corners, while others can be a challenge to handle.

Super and hypercars can accelerate too fast, making drifting with nitro a major challenge. Lower car classes including, muscle cars, sports cars, and classic sports cars are very easy to drift while using nitro.

Start with lower-class cars to gain a full understanding of how the cars handle while using nitro.

One last thing to know involves using ramps, you find them scattered all over tracks appearing near corners. Taking the corners while jumping over ramps will be a challenge. Ramps tend to make your car to easily lose control, either by sending your car into a wall or high over the track resulting in a wreck.

Be on the lookout for ramps, near the corners as this can cause your car to go airborne. Aim for the center of the ramp before you launch your car airborne, as this will help you maintain control of  your car before making a landing.
