Viewing which parts to Buy

First things first. Once you have selected your starter car in Need for Speed ( 2015 ) either the Mustang Foxbody, the Subaru BRZ, or any other car left standing in the garage ideally, your first upgrade is to equip it with Nitrous.

All the races that you choose to engage in throughout Ventura Bay will have races that will become difficult to win if your car doesn’t have any upgrades installed.

So, before you hop into your next street race or any new event at all, try equipping it with nitro, it will provide you with a slight advantage over anyone and everyone you race against.

Plus, it’s a great way for grabbing a temporary speed boost for when you are struggling to race your way up to the front.

Equipping your car with nitrous, no matter what car you drive will help give your car a little extra burst of speed for overtaking your opponents all around Ventura Bay which can make winning any race and every race a lot easier.

As you continue to progress throughout Need for Speed ( 2015 ) races will become harder, making equipping your ride with NOS all the difference in the world between edging your way past opponents into first place and slipping back into second at the very last minute.

So, with a full tank of nitrous equipped into your car, you can’t go wrong with using it to slipstream and speeding your way past your opponents into first place at the best possible time before the race is over, which will have the main characters in the game ( story ) taking notice.

2. Complete New and Old Events to Earn Quick Cash

Racing events all around Ventura Bay

Next up, is all about earning some QUICK and major cash in Need for Speed ( 2015 ) that is going to be useful to you and for your entire in-game progression.

The best strategy for raking in the most amount of money in the shortest amount of time is by completing as many NEW and old events as much as possible, which you can use to spend on for the most needed upgrades for your cars, personalizing the overall look of your rides or even perhaps buying more cars to add into your garage.

Earning money in Need for Speed ( 2015 ) can be BOTH easy and time-consuming when you’re constantly completing both new and old events all through Ventura Bay.

All throughout the map of Ventura Bay will be plenty of events available to you for when you are running a little low on cash.

Each event that you choose to participate in will have a specific amount of money up for grabs for you to win. The amount of money available for every event varies from $2k – $12k which can add up quickly over time.

Furthermore, new events all over the map are labeled with “Star” icons, while old events ( events you have already completed ) are labeled with check marks.

For the best strategy for raking in maximum amount of money in Need for Speed ( 2015 ) is by winning as many events as much as you can ( mostly the story events ), and by the time you head back to the garage once you’re done for the day, you’ll be surprised about how much you money you earned.

Winning more races = more money and more money = more possibilities to smoke the rest of your competition all throughout the city of Ventura Bay.

3. Collect “Free” Parts

Coming in at number 3 is a VERY useful tip for when you’re running a little low on cash, especially when it comes to buying the necessary upgrades for your car. While you’re out cruising all over the streets of Ventura Bay, probably looking to take on the next mission event or so, try scouting for free parts.

All through the map of Ventura Bay, there will be parts scattered all around for you to claim, which you can get for FREE!

All “Free” Part locations are labeled with the “Car” icon ( obvious hint ) which will be located all around the map for you to find.

You can scout for these “free parts” all over Venture Bay just by entering the area of where the free part ( car icon ) is located.

Once you have reached the location of where the free part is listed, you can drive up and claim it. After you have successfully claimed your free part, head on over back to the garage and check the inbox ( mail icon ) which is where you can equip your free part onto your current car or to any other available cars in your garage.

When it comes to getting the best performance upgrades in Need for Speed ( 2015 ) each part you equip into your car matters and scouting for free parts all over Ventura Bay can be your go-to for acquiring the upgrades you need to increase your car’s overall performance.

So keep roaming and keep searching for those free parts that will not only save you money but also the hassle of unlocking upgrades for when you needed them the most.

Once your car has greatly increased performance, it won’t take long for you to dominate the rest of your competition.

After all, it’s all about feeling the Need…for Speed.

4. Tune your Ride ( Drift or Grip )

Tuning up the NISSAN 180SX in Need for Speed

Along with having some cool upgrades equipped into your car, why not tune it? There will be specific events all around Ventura Bay that will let you know how well your car handling performs either for drifting or flat-out street racing.

For example, drifting events tend to be the hardest events to take on, especially for cars that are stuck in stock condition or lack a certain drift build setup.

So, the best way to tackle this issue is by heading on over to the garage and by going through to the “handling tuning” settings which will be your go-to for making those must-needed adjustments to your car.

For the best drift build results, try sliding the master slider closer to drift, which is ideal for mastering all drifting events all through Ventura Bay.

Moreover, the handling tuning settings is where you can tweak your ride for making those minor to major changes that can suit your driving style, which will make a BIG difference in how well your car performs through various events.

As for the racing events, such as time trials, and sprint races, the handling settings should ideally be adjusted closer to grip.

Moving the master slider closer to grip will make taking on sprint races, circuit races, and drag races a lot easier as each of these events are made to use traction.

Drifting in Need for Speed ( 2015 ) can be hard, but it doesn’t have to be! As long as you keep experimenting with the tuning settings that will not only help suit your driving style but also become your best bet for taking on every racing event and challenge the game throws at you.

5. Always Buy “Affordable” Upgrades

Buying Nitrous

Next up at number 5 is all about being smart with how you spend your hard-earned cash in Need for Speed ( mostly on upgrade purchases ).

While you’re making steady progress throughout your ventures in Need for Speed, it is best that you must only spend on parts that you can afford without having to risk breaking the bank.

Unlocking new upgrades for cars can be easy. However, having enough money to buy those upgrades can be downright dreadful.

So, depending on the part that you are going for, it is ideal that you must spend small amounts of money at a time on parts that are helpful for an increase in your car’s overall performance, rather than sacrificing spending too much of what you have earned.

Buying new upgrades in Need of Speed tends to get expensive as high-end parts that can give your car a huge performance boost cost more.

So, once you do earn enough money to buy all the parts you need, you can go ahead and take on all the rest available events all through Ventura Bay which will SIMPLY be a breeze.

So spend wisely and keep on winning those races no matter WHO or what gets in your way.

The more you upgrade, the better and easier it will be for you to progress throughout Need for Speed.

6. Complete New Events to Rapidly Level Up Your Rep

Rep level reached to 49 after winning an event

When you are completing events and side challenges all through Ventura Bay, the ONE thing that you will notice after completing them is seeing your overall Rep Level. Your “Rep” represents how you make a name for yourself all through Ventura Bay.

Plus, it symbolizes what type of racer you are or the racer that you are striving to become.

Having Rep means you represent 5 types of driving aspects in Need for Speed 2015 which are

  • Speed
  • Style
  • Build
  • Crew
  • Outlaw

As you are completing numerous events all through Ventura Bay, you will gain more Rep points, which will continuously contribute to increasing your overall Rep level.

The higher the Rep, the more parts you can unlock. Plus, the more events you gain access to which will further advance your in-game progression.

So, keep leveling up your Rep and you will see just how far your Rep takes you.

7. Use the E-Brake to Easily Drift

Drifting into the night in the BMW M3 E46

Are you having some trouble trying to get your car to drift through various drifting events? If so, then you should definitely try using the E-brake.

Drifting in Need for Speed can be utterly the most difficult skill to pull off, especially when your car is stuck in stock condition or if it lacks a certain drift setup.

So, the EASIEST way to get your car to drift around those extremely tight corners is by holding down the e-brake. ( X for Xbox / Square button for PlayStation )

While holding down the e-brake and by using the acceleration at the same time, your car will start to initiate a quick drift which will send your car sliding around those incredibly tight corners with ease.

Using the e-brake can be a little tricky a first, but overall can be your go to for scoring up as many drift points through any drifting event for both dominating and leaving your competition left in the dust or in this case the smoke.

Once you have fully mastered using the e-brake in Need for Speed 2015, you will be able to literally smoke your competition and ULTIMATELY take the crown of becoming the rightful Drift King.

8. Shut Off Your Car to Quickly Lose Cops

Escaped at police chase in the BMW M3 E46

Lastly but certainly not least at number 8 is a special tip for when you are having quite a bit of trouble trying to get those annoying cops right off your tail.

As soon as you gain a major distance and are somewhere out of sight, try turning your car off.

I know it may sound crazy, but in Need for Speed 2015 there is this special ability that you can ACTUALLY shut your car off, which will quickly remove your Heat level AND it will significantly drop your pursuit time.

A major drop in Pursuit time can lead to a quick escape.

I, myself had tried this method a ton of times in Need for Speed 2015 and it had sent those cops packing in a matter of seconds.

Once your car is shut off and when you are out of dodge, you will see just how FAST your Heat level drops and how QUICKLY your pursuit time ends.

So, if you ever feel bothered by being chased around nonstop by those annoying cops who are preventing you from escaping, try shutting off your car and it will do wonders for letting you proceed on with your ventures throughout Ventura Bay so that you can continue on with your in-game progression.

Conclusion

Need for Speed ( 2015 ) has a lot to offer including for beginners who are eager to leave their mark on the streets of Ventura Bay. With so much to do from Day 1, you can expect oh so much from buying your first car from the garage to taking on all comers through various events that will have you earning major Rep.

Plus, whether you enjoy a good drift like a Drift King or perhaps escaping numerous cops like your the Most Wanted, you can expect plenty of thrills of being a street racer in Need for Speed 2015.

  2. Need for Speed is undefeated when it comes to racing games. I remember playing need for speed hot pursuit on PS1 (Im getting old 😩). I think this 2015 version may have been the last one I’ve played, are they still making new releases of this franchise?  These are some great tips, I didn’t know you could steal car parts 😂. For anyone who’s never played need for speed 10/10 I highly recommend.

    1. Yes, Need for Speed is definitely a part of everyone’s childhood including mine. I as well had remembered playing Hot Pursuit on the old PS1. It’s crazing how time flies and the Need for Speed franchise continues to produce really cool content.

Getting free parts in Need for Speed 2015 is definitely like stealing 🤣 it’s always nice to take whatever is left lying around especially when no one is watching 😉
